My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology. I view therapy as a shared journey, one in which I walk alongside clients as a helper, guide, facilitator, and collaborator.
I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, anxiety, fear, or depressive symptoms. My professional background includes 19 years in the education system working with students with special needs and their families. Throughout that time, I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of connection, compassionate communication, and collective wellness.
I am committed to helping clients live more authentically by deepening their self-awareness and strengthening their connection to themselves, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can explore parts of themselves they may fear or avoid while developing healthy coping skills rooted in their strengths and resources. I guide clients toward lives that feel whole, meaningful, and aligned with their values by taking intentional and courageous steps together, building confidence in assertive communication, fostering healthier connections with others, and cultivating meaningful growth, resilience, and lasting change.
Originally from Ohio, I bring a mid-western, family-oriented, small-community perspective combined with a newly-Arizonan “Wild West”, progressive and broadened-horizon outlook. I have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physical and Health Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, a Master of Sciences in Education (M.S.Ed.) from The University of Akron, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Adapted Physical Education from Ashland University, and a Master of Sciences (M.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
